BRAIN INTEGRATION THERAPY

Stress adversely alters brain’s ability to function.  It can result in the inability to process emotions, feeling stuck or loss of memory.  Brain Integration Therapy is a treatment that is suitable for adults and children and can assist with:

  • Learning difficulties

  • ADD, ADHD, Dyslexia

  • Memory Problems

  • Stress Management

  • Optimized brain functionality

Often when we aren’t performing at our peak, we believe we must try harder, or that we aren’t smart enough.  This results in loss of confidence and eventually, avoidance of new experiences.  The true culprit, however is usually stress.

The brain can suffer stress from causes such as anxiety, fear or trauma.  Instead of performing logical and creative functions, it shifts its blood supply to help the body ‘fight or flight’ the stress.  As a result, the brain stops us thinking clearly.

Brain Integration Therapy stimulates the brain to reshape itself, removing coping mechanisms and compensation patterns.  This results in a healthier brain that is more able to cope with stress.

Treatment is tailored to the individual’s needs.  Brain Integration is often used in conjunction with learning situations and therapies that include tutors, psychologists and health professional

EMOTION CODE THERAPY

Emotions trapped within your body may greatly affect your overall physical and emotional wellbeing.  Emotion Code Therapy is a muscle testing process that determines if and where emotions are trapped and if so, offers the means to release them.  Releasing trapped emotions allows the body to heal physically.  Emotional difficulties often disappear or become much easier to deal with.

CRAINOSACRAL THERAPY

Craniosacral therapy (CST) is an alternative therapy that releases inner tensions from within the cranial system and affects the whole body.  It integrates mind and body as well as the emotional and spiritual centres. Although it is suitable for everybody, including babies and small children, it is particularly suitable for those experiencing pain, trauma and challenging situations.

CST is a gentle, hands-on technique, that works with the soft tissue structures of the body and the flow of cerebrospinal fluid between the head and the base of the spine. These structures and fluids protect, support, and nourish the brain and spinal cord.  Relieving tension in the central nervous system promotes a feeling of well-being by eliminating pain and boosting health and immunity.

SILENT WALKING RETREATS

In the midst of our chaotic world, we tend to lose touch with the peace and joy that are available in each moment: the sunshine, the birds’ singing, the autumn leaves, a baby’s smile.  The practice of walking meditation brings us back to being fully present and alive with every step, filling each moment with peace and joy.

Walking meditation is for everyone, no matter what spiritual beliefs they may have.  It is a wonderful tool to help slow down the currents of the world and become centred.  Walking slowly, whilst focussing on each step and sometimes with a mantra, helps the mind to become still.

It is particularly beneficial to experience this practice in a group.  There is a synergy between participants who are committed to giving themselves and others, the gift of silence.  It is a delightful way to discover the beauty within and all around, whilst meeting new friends.

Yolanda organises regular day retreats for beginners and regular meditators alike.  You will learn how to bring the practice into your daily life, bring balance and grounded-ness.
